Rheumatic Rehabilitation

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the joints. It’s an autoimmune condition, in which your immune system mistakes the linings of joints as foreign object and attacks and damages them, resulting in inflammation and pain. It commonly affects peripheral joints symmetrically like hands, wrists and knees. The joints are inflamed, movements are extremely painful and function is compromised which may lead to progressive deformities. Since Rheumatoid Arthritis cannot be cured completely, a combination of medical treatment and Physiotherapy from early stage can arrest the symptomatic progression to great extent.
